I am honored to present a pair of earrings that transcend the simple definition of jewelry: authentic miniature works of art, inspired by the meticulous beauty of the creations of Benedictine monks. To wear them is to carry a fragment of history, a treasure that seems to have traveled through the centuries.

This art creation, embellished with exclusive details, is directly inspired by the splendor of the House of the Vettii in Pompeii, particularly the figure of the winged cupid, reopened to the world after a long restoration. The figure of the angel with cornucopia is a tribute to the famous Roman frescoes of the first century AD, a millennial symbol of prosperity, beauty and the rebirth of Italian craftsmanship of excellence.

The essence of creation.

The Pictorial Heart: Prominent in the center are two ovals painted entirely by hand on precious brass plates measuring approximately 2 cm x 1.5 cm (equal to 0.79 x 0.60 inches). The scene depicted evokes a typical glimpse of the Baroque era. One winged angel holds a cornucopia overflowing with polychrome flowers and leaves, a symbol of abundance, while the second angel cradles in his arms a basket filled with a profusion of multicolored flowers and delicate leaves.

The Magic of Stones: Embellishing this almost mystical scene are two agates, placed one above and one below the oval. They show a bright and delicate color, a pearl gray that accommodates a light cerulean celestial iridescence, illuminating the depiction with a soft light.

Elegant Dynamism: Complementing the symphony of shapes and colors, two faceted onyx drops swing gracefully, adding movement and a touch of mysterious depth.

A Topaz of Antique Details: The top of the earring conceals the toggle clasp, recalling period jewelry. A small flower formed of tiny, bright, hand-threaded agates surrounds a microscopic oval of onyx, framed by stylized festoon-like leaves and embellished with other small agates in a delicate, very pale pearl-gray white.

The Charm of the Back: Placed immediately before the gift box, the photo of the back reveals absolute craftsmanship. In addition to the secure toggle clasp mechanism, one can admire the onyx pendant and intricate brass work with stylized ovals and small stars, a profound testament to the goldsmith’s craftsmanship.

Jewel details.

Material: filigree molds made of brass that has not been electroplated. Welds made of silver. Each piece is brushed and polished by hand in the workshop.

Gemstones: Hand-selected and strung. Soft gray agates with small, almost intangible amethyst undertones (please observe the photos to appreciate the shades) and faceted black onyx.

Original Miniature: A small-format masterpiece done on a black background.

Overall length: 7.7 cm (equal to 3.04 inches), total measurement including the nunnery (the toggle clasp) to the end of the onyx drop.

Answer: Absolutely. The miniature is created with special pigments and, once finished, is fixed and protected by a thin layer of resin that ensures maximum durability.
